Cohen Says Trump ‘Worst Person in the World’

A Democrat congressman from Tennessee known for his hyperbolic attacks against former President Donald J. Trump does not appear to be slowing down, despite the fact that Trump no longer holds office.

“It was clear to me from jump street that Trump was the worst person in the world and responsible for orchestrating the insurrection,” Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN-09) said on Twitter. “It was a self-produced alternative show to his electoral defeat and he enjoyed watching it. He’s a narcissistic sociopath!”

Cohen attached a video of Trump’s ongoing impeachment trial in the Senate, which contains footage from the mostly peaceful protests at the Capitol in Washington, D.C. on January 6.

The Tennessee congressman has a history of making outlandish comments, but has turned up the heat since the November election.

Recently, he suggested in a CNN interview that President Joe Biden could not trust the National Guard to protect him, because many members are white males who likely voted for Trump.

“You know I was thinking, the [National] Guard is 90 some-odd percent, I think, male,” Cohen said. “Only about 20 percent of White males voted for Biden. You’ve gotta figure that in The Guard, which is predominantly more conservative – I see that on my social media – we know it, they’re probably not more than 25 percent of the people that are there protecting us that voted for Biden.”

“The other 75 percent are in the class that would be, uh, a large class of folks who might want to, uh, do something,” he continued.

Before that, he admitted that he “hated” Trump.

“I hate Donald Trump. He’s caused nearly 400,000 people to die of Coronavirus. He’s ruined my last 10 months. He has threatened my life at the Capitol,” he said.“He has wreaked havoc and destruction on the building that I work in and love. He has destroyed the faith that people should have in the government and shown that he’s been a crook for four years, and I hate him.”

In January, Cohen accused Trump of attempting to “murder the Congress.”

“This was an assault on the Constitution, an assault on Congress, it was a felonious assault,” he said in a speech on the House floor. “It was [an] attempt to murder Congress and our processes to elect our President of the United States.”

“It is the political equivalent of shooting someone on Fifth Avenue, and getting away with it,” he continued, “and somebody needs to stand up to that.”

cohen, what about the American people murdered & businesses of Americans, where Americans worked & loved, that were looted, burnt & destroyed? ‘Wreaked havoc and destruction on the building that you work in and love?’ Are you more special than those Americans, cohen? Where’s your outrage for the American people in all the American cities that are being terrorized by antifa, blm & soros, cohen? cohen, you were once where innocent babies are being murdered. Now all of that ‘is the political equivalent of shooting someone on Fifth Avenue, and getting away with it, ‘ “and somebody needs to stand up to that.” President Trump set a high bar, cohen. One day I hope you understand! Best to keep your mouth from digging a pit for you to fall in, cohen.

The problem with this country and our government is he will win again, and so will all the other idiots like him. All his type has to do is promise something for nothing to win. You can make any promise you want if you have no intention of keeping it.

Look in the mirror Cohen- YOU are one of the worst person in the world! President Trump did more good for our country in 4 years than Cohen has done as a lifelong politician! You can add Biden to the list too of lifelong democrats who do nothing but run their mouth!

  4. Ron Welch

Leftists like Cohen are actually very consistent in applying one of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” as he does here, “always accuse others of what you do while you’re doing it.”

  6. Traditional Thinker

    I hate Steve Cohen

He’s caused nearly 1000 homicides in his constituents district over the past 4 years not including all of the aborted deaths he’s enthusiastically encouraged

He along with other members of his party wreaked havoc at the Capitol by bringing Antifa members to a peaceful protest and created an insurgence

He’s tried to destroy people’s faith in God for years

    He’s been a crook/idiot his entire life

      Well said.

Memphis! PLEASE rescue us from this ignorant, embarrassing “official”! Does he honestly “represent” you?

  8. Kevin

“…He’s a narcissistic sociopath!” Is this the pot calling the kettle black, or what? But why is he being SO hyperbolic? Especially in light of the fact that he’s got to run for reelection in a year. Does he know something that the rest of us don’t?

My concern is that Tennessee is going to be the next “swing” State. Not because the people become a bunch of bleeding heart liberals, but because just like in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, the Democratically controlled big cities will again have miraculously “record” voter turn-out and they will steal seats in Congress. They showed the winning strategy against Trump!

Cohen is amazing , when I think that he cannot make a more ignorant vile statement than before he does. What an idiot! Between Jim Cooper and Steve Cohen the race for number one moron is on, different approaches but, equal low life politicians!
